Our regional partnership is uniquely positioned to draw on our complementary strengths. We are both national and local organizations, each with histories of successful collaboration. We work with private landowners, government agencies, other non-profit organizations, and local communities. Our goal is to provide the public benefit of clean water, outdoor recreation, enhanced habitat for wildlife, and permanent protection of our working ranches and forests.
To facilitate “Conservation through Collaboration”, the Northern Foothills Partnership hosted a series of two Foothill Forums in 2012 that engaged key stakeholders in facilitated discussions to identify functional linkages in the northern Sierra Nevada foothills. Participants included County, State, and Federal agencies, educational institutions, environmental nonprofits, land trusts, elected officials, and private industry technical professionals who share interests in land/watershed conservation. The Forum Report is an overview of these gatherings.
